It has always been a dream of mine to run a business that is child-related. Coupled with my interest in fashion and creating, I decided to start a business that aims to offer affordable and modern (yet timeless) pieces of apparel for the young ones.

When We Grow Up was formed during one of the most trying times our community has seen in a while, thus giving further significance to the meaning of the brand. 

The story behind the name:

The 'We' in When We Grow Up has very clearly replaced the 'I' in the everyday saying 'When I grow up'. The purpose of placing emphasis on 'We', is to draw attention to the concept of ‘togetherness’, as we encourage our children to have big dreams and visions. Especially after all that our community has witnessed in recent times, it has been made extremely clear to us the values of togetherness and our interdependence to overcome obstacles, move forward, and grow.

We hope that our brand serves as a reminder to us, and most importantly, our children, of the importance of kindness, care, and togetherness as we grow together in a community.

From simple and minimalistic pieces to fun and quirky prints, When We Grow Up believes there is something for every child. We hope to see the young ones have fun exploring various styles from a young age.
